Fund Raising in Rockies for Earthquake Victims 2011

[Chinese]

A recent series of major earthquakes rocked the whole world. The affected countries included New Zealand, China, Japan, Myanmar. These disastrous earthquakes caused thousands of deaths, people missing, kids searching for their parents, and property damage, the total loss is impossible to estimate.

The victims lost their homes and their families, and need the soonest and continuous help and support. Around the world, people from different countries and places, have already initiated relief fund raising activities, hoping to help the victims to resume a normal life as soon as possible.

Our objective is to raise fund for Red Cross, for the earthquake victims around the world. We will organize a total of 7 snowshoe trips, and 1 summit hiking trip in the Alberta Rockies, over 3 consecutive weekends, for those that donate/collect a minimal donation of $100 for Red Cross. All these are fun, safe, winter outdoor activities, at various difficulty levels. We provide the gear (i.e the snowshoes), and volunteers will provide free transportation by car pool.

For sure you will find one of the 8 trips, that fit into your busy schedule and suitable for your pace. You just have to register with us, start collecting a minimal donation of $100 (per participant) and provide us the check(s) payable to Red Cross on the event date, then you will have a fun winter outdoor day trip, whilst helping the earthquake victims to rebuild their homeland!
